Bedlington Terrier


Bedlington Terriers often appear on lists of hypoallergenic dogs breed. Bedlington Terrier is a breed of terrier named after the mining town of Bedlington, Northumberland in Noth East England. This breed has a wedge-shaped head with sparkling, triangular eyes. These dogs may be blue, sandy, liver, or dark brown/black and sable and can be solid colours or have tan markings. The Bedlington is one of the most reliable terriers. They are problem solvers and loyal family companions. The breed is well suited for agility, earthdog, obedience and other performance events.

Basenji

Basenji is one of potentially hypoallergenic dog breed. Basenji is breed of hunting dog that was bred from stock originating in central Africa, basenji-like dogs have lived with humans for thousands of years. Basenji are small, elegant-looking, short-haired dogs with erect ears, a tightly curled tail, and a graceful neck. The basenji is an athletic dog and is deceptively powerful for its size.
Many basenjis suffer from PRA (progressive retinal atrophy), which causes blindness, and Fanconi's syndrome, which can cause kidney failure. Besides Fanconi Syndrome and PRA, Basenjis also suffer from Hypothyroidism, IPSID (immunoproliferative systemic intestinal disease), HA (Hemolytic Anemia). Basenjis are also sensitive to environmental and household chemicals which can cause liver problems.
Basenji is recognized in the following standard colorations: red, black, tricolor (black with tan in the traditional pattern), and brindle (black stripes on a background of red), all with white, by the FCI,KC,AKC and UKC.
